Martin and Deborah

(2007)

I was contacted by Martin who everyone knows as the licensee of the Mortimers Cross pub which he ran with his former wife Nancy for many years and have become synonymous with the Hereford Parachute Club.

All will remember the tricks that were played in the bar at the Morts, the electrified seat, the 10p glued to the floor (I fell for it one night and I knew about it!!!) and the fig leaf door knocker in one of the ladies cubicles that rang a bell in the bar if the lady concerned lifted the fig leaf to see what was underneath!

Yes, the Mortimers Cross pub became part and parcel of the history of the Hereford Parachute Club.

Martin has sent me a shed load photographs taken at the pub or on the airfield and I am adding them here in folders of the subjects concerned, so click on the folders and the others will be shown on this page.
